Even at first sight the authorities had no idea which animal was it and later they figured out that it was a hybrid cross of a male lion and a female tiger. Onwards; this liger along with other big cats were transferred to the zoo facilities across Indonesia and Taman Safari Zoo was one of them which welcomed the transfer of the liger at its premises. However; on the downside despite this entire buzz about the liger at the Taman Safari Park, this liger is still unknown to the rest of the world. The reason being the zoo authorities haven’t provided any content about this liger on their official website as well. There are no big cat related events from the zoo which educate the people about exotic big cats such as ligers. They may follow the example of Wynnewood Zoo or Myrtle Beach Safari about spreading the awareness about ligers and their role in conservation of the other big cats such as lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars and cougars etc. Only visitors visiting the Taman Safari have uploaded the liger pictures on their instagram accounts and from there only few people have come to know the presence of the liger at the Taman Safari Zoo.
